Geekbox StarCraft 2 Summer Rush Tournament

Cyber-Sports Network, LLC is pleased to announce the opening of registration for the CSN “GEEKBOX StarCraft 2 Summer Rush Tournament.”

Registration for the CSN “GEEKBOX StarCraft 2 Summer Rush Tournament” opens on Wednesday, July 21st and will remain open until Wednesday, August 4th.

How To Register for CSN:

Create an account at: Cyber Sports Network

All players will need to register a personal CSN user account to participate in the event. If you do not already have one, click “Join CSN” at the top right of the webpage and fill out all necessary fields. In order to complete the registration you will have to activate your account by clicking the link sent to your personal email that you entered during the registration process. Once you click the email link you will want to IMMEDIATELY change your password to what you desire, in which you will be able to login to the website with from then on.

Player Registration:

Once you are logged into CSN, move your mouse over the “Events” button in the main site navigation banner. Now click the StarCraft 2 Banner, and select the “Events” tab. From here you will see the tournament and click “Join Now” where you will be brought to a page with all of the event information. Simply click “Register Now” and your done!
*Players do NOT need to make a team in order to sign up for any CSN 1v1 events*

Event Details:

The tournament will begin on August 9th.

This event is NORTH AMERICAN players only due to client incapability with the different regions that blizzard has announced.

CSN Scout Client:

It will NOT be required that all teams and players download and use the “CSN Scout” client in order to participate in any HoN CSN event at this time. However, we do strongly urge to download the client and use it to find scrimmages for practicing. There will be a scrim channel for every game that CSN offers, for instructions on how to install the client and use it for matches please click the following link.

Prize Packages:
1st : $200 Cash
2nd : $100 Cash
3rd: $50 Cash

Game Type: 1v1 Single Elimination

Where is GEEX taking place?
GEEX is taking place at the South Towne Expo Center, 9575 South State Street in Sandy, Utah. We will be in the hall at the south end of the center. Parking is FREE and with the TRAX station right behind the center that will make easy access for commuters. View a map to the venue.

How much will GEEX cost?
General admission tickets can be purchased at the door or online for $10 per day. Students and military personnel can receive a $5 per day discount (must show valid ID). Children 10 and under are no charge.

COSPLAY
Have you ever wanted to be someone else? Are you SO in love with a video game or anime that you enjoy dressing up as the characters? Did you like playing cowboys and indians as a child? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then checkout the first GEEX cosplay contest. This is sure to be one of the highlights of the show that you can’t miss!

Game-In-A-Day
Like to try your hand at making a small game? Participants work in teams to create a small game or game demo based on a theme. Awards and prizes are given for the best results.
