OUR HISTORY

To understand Geekbox, you have to understand where we came from. Geekbox Computers was the brain-child of lifelong friends Adrian Hunter and Marshall Anderson. It started in their basement in 2003 as PC Paramedics. Over the years the company grew into the premier name in Utah on-site IT management.

The company was successful enough, but something was just missing. They wanted to do something more, something bigger. Over the years they saw the problems sub-par equipment can cause for a business. Frequently helping home users, they had developed an intimate understanding of the common gripes and problems the average household has with their PC’s. The next step became obvious: start building the fastest, most powerful and most reliable machines on the market then back them with a level of service the industry has never seen before.

Geekbox was born and caught on like wildfire. After 2 solid years under the Geekbox banner in West Jordan, Utah they opened their second retail location in Sandy, Utah to immediate success. Marshall ended up moving on to other challenges in the IT industry focused more on business. A central component to the Geekbox family was gone but one of GEEKBOX’s own employees, Justin Watt, stepped up to the plate in 2009 to fill Marshal’s shoes. Justin hit the ground running, bringing the fresh ideas and enthusiasm that Geekbox had always thrived on.

The onsite division flourished, gaining large scale government contracts and more small businesses contracts despite the recession. The stores continued to grow, consistently beating the previous year’s numbers month by month. Adrian and Justin, however, still had a vision of something more.

The entrance to the national stage was complete with the launch of the 2nd generation of the Geekbox website. Today, Geekbox does business internationally, shipping systems across the globe to clients of all kinds. To this date, not a single Geekbox employee has EVER quit. We  still maintain a flawless record with the BBB and we’ll never forget the people who made everything possible: the Utah computer customer.

We thank you, the customers, from the bottom of our hearts. You are the reason we do what we do. Without you, we wouldn’t have this amazing opportunity to wake up and do what we love to do every day. I hope we get the opportunity to prove it to you!
