What is Geekbox?
Geekbox was founded in 2006 by Adrian Hunter and Marshall Anderson, but the bloodline runs much deeper. To really understand Geekbox today you have to know where it came from. The vision comes from 15 years in the gaming/modding/enthusiast community. You would be hard pressed to identify any point in PC gaming that we couldn’t talk about, going all the way back to the DWANGO/PGL/TEN days. We have competed at the highest level of competitive gaming for the last decade and continue to do so at the expense of what most would consider a healthy sleep schedule. We were there watching thresh play Dmann (a Utah gaming legend) for the keys to John Carmack’s Ferrari. We were there in Korea when the first world cyber games went down and team USA took home the gold in Quake3. We were there when CPL opened and closed its doors and when e3 was the mecca of all gamers. We have always been there and always will be, because at the core of what we are we are gamers. We live for that moment, on stage, money and reputation on the line, shoutcaster going nuts, adrenaline pumping, crowd screaming or silent waiting for you alone to pull out the clutch and send somebody packing. That’s what makes us so good. We love this.
Over the years Adrian has !#&*@embled a group of people, now known as Geekbox to help bring his vision to fruition. Each member brings something unique to the table. The areas of expertise vary from gaming, video editing, CAD work, metal work, water cooling, digital art, hardware solutions, servers and software. At the end of the day, they are all united under one banner and share one common goal: Build jaw dropping, awe inspiring PC’s and offer a level of personalized service the world has never seen.
Geekbox is the idea that says this industry can be better. It’s the idea that business can be good and fair. That quality, reliability and craftsmanship supersede hitting low price points. It’s the idea that you don’t have to sacrifice form for function. It’s staying true to the community that’s brought us here and the community that keeps us going. Geekbox is the idea that says the best solution to any problem is a rotozip and some ingenuity, not millions of dollars from a corporate backer who looks at us and our community as a small paycheck. Anybody in the community knows there is no substitute for hard work. Cables don’t sheathe themselves. Everybody here has blood blisters to prove it. Geekbox is the statement that there is no shortcut to excellence, Just sweat and lots of case cuts. Geekbox is by gamers, for gamers- so if you are looking to join a community of like minded individuals who build the absolute best rigs money can buy– look no further. You have found your home at Geekbox.
Geekbox Computers: Well see you in the game.
