I'm not gonna say they're outright bad. Initially, they're good.  You get everything you specify from the getgo, and they make sure it's all set up. But man, if anything happens to your computer, and you don't live in California, you might as well give up and buy a new one.

Last Halloween, DS was having a sale, so I decided to partake. I got this powerhouse, and was tearing things up with it. Somewhere around February, I believe, nVidia released a new driver. I got a prompt before entering a game, saying I should update. Without thinking much of it, I went ahead and got it. Immediately after installing it, stuff got worse and eventually my video cards both died. Had to swap over to a crappy old Dell laptop for a while, which was also in disrepair (and still is), to try and coordinate fixing this.

At first, I was just going to receive new video cards and just replace them myself. However, their liquid cooling's clamps are... Really impossible to undo. I inevitably asked why I didn't get quick-release valves, and they said because theirs leak, so I was a little happy I didn't get them. So now the story gets ridiculous.

I had to send it back all the way to California for repairs. Of course, they expected me to pay for the shipping. I managed to talk them into splitting it halfway, but I still shouldn't have to pay extra. Then they ask if I still had the box they sent it in. It was sorta beat up by the time it got here, but the computer was fine. I was lucky to still have it, otherwise they'd probably have charged more. Fun thing about the box, though. While the inside of the computer was held still with one of those expanding foam bags, the entire PC was held in place by two large sheets of plastic, suspending it away from the outside of the box, or at least trying to.

I pack it up, send it out, and wait a day or two to hear they received it. Then I wait a long time. Long long time. Kept waiting after that. Month after month, I get tedious stage updates so scarcely. Finally, in JUNE, after sending it out around February, they send it back. (A fun bit of info they left out before I sent it was that they were going to move their entire operation to another building.) So now the story gets retarded.

I find the same exact box I had originally received it in waiting for me in the lobby. It was ridiculous. Parts were starting to rip, it was flimsy, it was begging to fall apart. When I finally opened it, I never thought anyone would do something so cruel. The case was in shambles. The metal bar that actually held a side panel on was completely snapped out of place, the front panel popped right off, there was a huge dent right on the top right so the other panel couldn't even fit on right. There was a spring just sitting around inside of it, too, for who knows what. It was plain ****ed up. I didn't even turn it on to see if it worked. I packed it right back up, called them to pick it up and try again.

After a fun trip to Italy, not worrying about it as hard as I could, I got back and it arrived a few days after. Finally, a new box! It had heavy staples throughout the side, it had stronger tape holding it together. It was like some kinda box tank. Then I opened it. It had foam protection all around it this time, so DS couldn't blame what happened on Fedex.

They had to give me a whole new case, of course. At first, it was pretty nice. Then I noticed a screw missing from one of the top fans, and another screw hadn't been screwed in all the way. The right panel wouldn't push in all the way, the top front corner always jutted out a little, enough so that you could pull the panel off that way. There was a little chipped piece to who knows what around inside, too. And one piece of the cooling system was just hanging around on the bottom. It was plugged in all right, but the bottom was sticky, like it should be attached to something. But it just wasn't. And there was some fan thing sorta clipped over something, almost falling off. I was afraid to take it all the way off, so I kinda shoved it back on and hoped for the best. I tried so hard to ignore all of that, and went to plug it in and finally get a desktop again.

When I originally ordered it, I asked for a white and black case, but with red lighting. They said they couldn't do white, so I went with black and red lighting. Somewhere along the line, and during one of these testing stages, no one thought "Hey, shouldn't that blue light be red?" I assured myself I could fix it. I couldn't even bare to look at the source of the light, and immediately focused onto the screen.

Which was all black.

After that, I had a fit for a while, did some angry things. So, like I said. Digital Storm is good initially, but if anything requires hardware repairs by them, it'd be more polite of them to tell the buyer '**** you.'
